The Performance of the Mainboard is because of the AMD Geode LX700 CPU very slow - thats what we expected. With its 433 MHz the CPU works very well under normal Windows conditions, at least to write documents, read e-mails and surf through the web. However, much more interesting is that motherboard for industrial applications with appropriate customized software. It should be also possible to optimize Linux for the Geode LX CPU, so that it can fullfil its service as little homeserver or as webserver. The extremely low power consumption and those two integrated networkinterfaces simply predestinate this Mini-ITX Mainboard to be used round the clock. With a 2.5 inch Harddisk the Power Consumption Level should be under 10W. However for high performance applications the performance of the EMB-9655 would not be enough. It is very interesting, that the power consumption of both the Commell LV-651 and also the LogicPD Development Board are lower, but this depends very much on the used devices and harddisks.
