Information concerning test samples

Samples and test products may only be sent to explicit mentioned MiniTechNet editors. Before sending an article it is necessary to have an agreement with the project manager or one of the directors to avoid possible misunderstandings.

Dispatch

The dispatch is to be arranged by the producers. Please contact the competent editor via e-Mail or phone before handing in the shipment.

Damaged shipments

Please pack the test samples according to the UPS standard agreements (the content may not be damaged if the parcel drops 1.5 m / 6 foot free fall). The editor will contact you immediately in case a parcel is delivered damaged. It is in the interest of the manufacturer to send in only new components to avoid bad grading in the test report, since we usually find defects in used articles and we can not ignore these as you can imagine.

Uncertainties concerning the product

The editor will get in contact with you if uncertainties occur before the tests. The manufacturers should inform the editor of all hidden features/properties before test begin to help perform the tests as smoothly as possible. It is very useful if manuals, brochures and CDs with video- and picture materials are added to the test sample package.

Negative assessments

Our partners always get a copy of the article before the public release. It is very important, that the producers read the article and get in contact with the editor within three days to point out incorrect points. That is how wrong information about your product can be corrected even before the release of the articles. The report is treated as accepted after this period and will be released by MiniTechNet without further consultation.

The editorial staff is working hard to frame every article professionally and objectively. MiniTechNet reserves the right to release the articles in a way that is considered right and objective.

Volume declaration

All volume levels are declared in dB with the filter A (dBA). They represent a measured value that is similar to the usual use of every day life situations: e.g. 0.5 m / 2 foot in front of or above the unit. If extra noise adding components have to be added after the test, it will be mentioned in the article.

Test duration

We need four weeks for the tests. We will contact the manufactures immediately if the test should be delayed by missing components.

Return

Normally the test samples are returned just after the report is released on the website. The editing staff is endeavoured to return the product as undamaged as possible. Modifications that took place in the process of the test to complete the reports have to be accepted by the producers. The editing staff is responsible for cases of gross negligence to the producers. The return should take place by return service = RS of the forwarding agency and has to be arranged by the manufacturers themselves. It is possible to send the RS Sticker via e-mail to the editor who will get in contact with the shipping company. The cost for the return are to be spent by the manufacturers in full. The producers are asked to check the parcel for damage immediately at its return. In case of damage contact MiniTechNet without hesitation.
